I have seen some fabulous hotel suites over the years. Many of them are stunning or outright outrageous, like the $42,000 a night Bridge Suite at The Atlantis, Dubai. Or the exquisite beyond compare Dolder Grand in Switzerland. I don’t feel jaded, just experienced. Getting me to scream “Wow” was a surprise when I viewed the Aquarium Suite at The Atlantis on Palm Island in Dubai. My jaw literally dropped when I entered the suite that includes an aquarium filled with sharks, stingrays, schools of fish and coral reefs.
I wasn’t an overnight guest. Instead, I was given a fifteen-minute tour that was amazing enough to write about. Three stories high and on the first floor, you are literally in the aquarium. The bath and bedroom are facing the aquarium wall and the fish come right at you. Because I fancy myself a mermaid, I was mesmerized by this phenomenal and unique space. You get to be underwater without having to get wet or wear a tank. I giggled the whole ten minutes. That is, after I picked my jaw up after yelping when I first approached it.
Dubai was created to wow people with its luxurious hotels and amazing architecture. I never thought it would ‘get me’ in the wow category but it did. “Wow” on all counts.
WOWeeee….now that’sis an experiene for a mermaid like you Holly. Thanks for sharing the picture and the text.
