My sister just received a note with a happy birthday message from Road Scholar, a company she has never actually used. She was so surprised and delighted by it that she passed it on to me as an example of personal and connected service. I watched it with pure pleasure and am excited to pass it on to all of you.

When I was a concierge, I used to design trips around San Francisco and the wine country based on my personal ideas and suggestions and then printed them up to give to guests. I called it “pre-printed and personal.” This birthday message reminded me of doing just that—giving something personal without having it totally personalized.

Check it out… to me it will feels like the company is a person and not a huge organization. It humanizes the business and truly connects with the viewer.

Congrats to everyone at Road Scholar! One inexpensive heart-felt communication is worth a million dollars of advertising.
