To Be Outstanding

This month I have several videos to share. They are all short, very different, and each one special.

Lately I have been thinking a lot about what it means “to stand out.” My colleague Nanci Sherman and I have just launched our consulting business, TBO Partners. Nanci always says, “To be outstanding, you must first stand out.” With the bombardment of information coming from multiple devices and channels 24/7, that isn’t always easy to achieve. So how do you stand out from the crowd? In this short video, Michael Giddings does just that. Instead of sending a boring resume that would be lost in the crowd, he sent this video resume instead. Not surprisingly, he got three job offers.

What are you doing or could you be doing to stand out?  How are you applying creativity to your work?
